Roasted chickpeas (pražena čičerika)

Domače zabave. Prva asociacija poleg hrane in pijače so tudi različni prigrizki.  Jaz čisto preveč obožujem slane prigrizke- veliko raje kot sladke dobrote. Obožujem čipse, party mikse, krekerje in ostalo.

- malo soli,
- 2 žlici olivnega olja in
- papriko v prahu

Home party. My first association are besides food and drinks various snacks. I like salty snacks-much more than sweet. I love chips, party mixes, crackers and so on. In these days I found a great recipe for a homemade snack and made it in the same day. No, it wasn´t home potato crisps (I also made him some time ago and it was excellent) but roasted chickpeas. I don´t use chickpeas a lot- sometimes in mixed salads and that's it. Now I'm so excited about this roasted chickpeas with sweet paprika.

Chickpeas are quite healthy and for vegans and vegetarians an excellent substitute for meat. It contains proteins, carbohydrates, beneficial fats, vitamins and minerals. Also promotes digestion and binds toxins from the bowel.

To prepare roasted chickpeas you need:
- a tin of chickpeas,
- little salt,
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- ground paprika

Wash the chickpeas under water and dry well. I bought Spar tin containing 400g and costs about 60 cents. Mix together chickpeas, olive oil and add ground paprika and salt to your taste. I gave a little bit of salt, because I don´t like excessively salty things. Mix well and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. Bake in the oven at 220 degrees somewhere between 30-40 minutes. Be careful that it gets a brownish color and not brown too much. Check from time to time baking tray with chickpeas- when they start crunching and are no longer soft inside this is it :) Well I'm really impressed of taste. I want to carry chickpeas next day to the work but it was so good that I ate all on the same day.
